El Quiteño
El Quiteño is a concept magazine inspired by The New Yorker.
Envisioned by the Quito Secretariat of Culture as a call for art about the city, we participated in this groundbreaking event that invited artists from all over the world to submit art inspired by Ecuador’s capital city.
For our submission, we created the sister covers North Quito and South Quito to emphasize the city’s double nature; on one hand, socially divided; on the other, culturally united by its common religious icon: the Virgin of the Panecillo. North Quito was included in the event’s final exhibition and monograph.
